February 2009 update—We added a new BLOG with the latest info on hours, entertainment, and happenings at Alchemy. And...Owner/ Chef Jason Wright brings his award winning cuisine from Carmel to the charming Gold Rush town of Murphys, California, continuing the proud tradition started by Jennifer Stoicheff in 2001 of providing some of the freshest, most innovative and delicious food in the Mother Lode. Alchemy is a speciality MARKET, featuring wines from all Calaveras county wineries and other local specialities; a DELI, with freshly made sandwiches, salads, and homemade pastries for dine-in or take-out; a WINE BAR where you can taste a wide variety of local wines by the glass and world class beer; and a full service RESTAURANT with award-winning cuisine served with careful attention to detail in our elegant dining room or heated patio.
